Black Stars forward Inaki Williams has praised Spanish winger Nico Williams for inspiring millions of immigrants around the world.

Spanish born Ghana forward Inaki, said this about his younger brother who featured in Spain’s 2026 World Cup winning campaign and registered the assist for Ferran Torres’ goal that gave Spain a 1-0 win over Argentina in this year’s World Cup Final.

The Williams brothers were born to Ghanaian parents who immigrated to Spain in trying circumstances by crossing the Sahara Desert.

The brothers, who play for Spanish side Athletic Bilbao, featured at the 2026 World Cup with Inaki involved in Ghana’s campaign that ended at the round of 32 stage and after watching his brother win the World Cup title, Inaki said,

“Brother, You’ve won the World Cup. You’ve made history.”
