Spain midfielder Rodri has officially joined FC Barcelona and says the reigning Spanish La Liga champions’ style suits his personality. The transfer fee is reportedly 60 million euros with 16.5 million euros in add-ons.
He said this in his first interview after joining the club from English Premier League side Manchester City; Rodri signed a four year deal with Barcelona and the deal is set to end in June 2030.

After leading Spain to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup and winning the best player award at the tournament, Rodri sounded exited to sign for Barcelona.
“I’m very happy and excited about this new stage in my career.”

“It’s a fresh challenge, a chance to experience new things and feel that excitement again.”

“I’ve come to a hugely ambitious club that really suits my personality, so I’ll try to help in every way I can to achieve our objectives this season” he said.
