Manchester United have officially signed Cameroon international Carlos Baleba from fellow English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion. (Scroll down to watch video)
The deal was officially announced on Tuesday, August 25; the 22 year old joined Man United on a five year deal that is scheduled to end in 2031 with the option to extend by a year.
Details on the transfer fee were not included in the official announcement but the deal is reportedly worth 65 million pounds with five million pounds in add-ons.
Baleba joined Brighton and Hove Albion from French Ligue 1 side Lille and excelled as one of the best young players in the EPL.
He departs the Seagulls after making 92 league appearances, scoring three goals and adding an assist while picking up seven yellow cards and a red card.
On the international scene, the left footed midfielder has grown to be an integral member of the Indomitable Lions and featured in Cameroon’s run to the round of 16 stage at the 2025 AFCON; Cameroon exited the competition after losing 2-0 to Nigeria.
