Mohamed Salah is set to earn a lucrative salary after completing his high profile move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor.
The 34-year-old Egypt captain officially signed a two-year contract on Thursday, August 6, after successfully completing his medical a day earlier.
According to a statement released by Trabzonspor, Salah will earn an annual salary of $19.6 million. The deal also includes a 20 per cent share of revenue from merchandise sold in his name, as well as performance related bonuses.
Salah joined Trabzonspor as a free agent after ending nine years at Liverpool, where he won two Premier League titles and established himself as one of the club’s greatest players.
Including bonuses, Salah’s Trabzonspor package is comparable to the reported $28 million he earned in his final season at Liverpool.
