Manchester City winger Jérémy Doku has signed a new five-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2031.

The 24-year-old Belgium international joined City from French side Rennes in 2023 and has since established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players.

Doku has made 131 appearances for City, scoring 22 goals, and has helped the club win five major trophies, including the Premier League, FA Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

He has also shown his versatility by operating on either wing and occasionally playing in a more central role.

The winger was part of Belgium’s squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2026 World Cup and has earned 48 international caps.

Following the signing, Doku expressed his delight at extending his stay and said he was excited to work under new manager Enzo Maresca.

“I have loved my time at City so far, so to have the opportunity to stay for longer is a fantastic feeling,” Doku said.

“This club means so much to me ;  I have developed as both a player and a person. I feel settled here, and I know I am improving every day because of the work the staff here do.

“With Enzo here now I am really excited about the new season. His style of football is the kind we love, so that’s exciting for the players.”

City director of football Hugo Viana also praised Doku’s development since his arrival at the club.

“Jérémy is a huge talent whose improvement since joining us in 2023 is clear for all to see,” Viana said.

“He has a special dynamic. He has the right characteristics for what we are looking for in a winger. He really does bring a special quality to our team.”

Doku’s new contract keeps him at the Etihad for the next five seasons as City begin a new era under Maresca.
