Elena Rybakina is set to take on Iga Swiatek in the final game of the 2026 Canadian Open Women’s Final after beating Coco Gauff in the semifinals.

Rybakina takes on Swiatek in this year’s final on Friday, August 14 with the upcoming clash set to be the 13th matchup between the pair with either player winning six games apiece.

Kazakhstan player Rybakina recovered from a first set loss to register a 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 win over Gauff to set up the final matchup and is looking forward to her latest clash against Swiatek.

“I feel like in the first set we were playing well but then I rushed it a little bit. I’m just glad that I managed to win again in three sets.”

“It’s going to again be a very difficult match, and we know each other so well. We play so many times. In my case, I feel it’s more again about the recovery after so many hours on the court, and bring as much energy as I can” Rybakina said.
