Brighton and Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler says the club will make the best decision for Ghana forward Ibrahim Osman as he considers his future.
Hurzeler made the comments ahead of Brighton’s pre-season game against Italian Serie A side Bologna on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
Osman’s future at Brighton remains uncertain after loan spells with French side Auxerre and Dutch club Feyenoord since joining the Seagulls from FC Nordsjaelland. The Black Stars forward spent the second half of last season on loan at EFL Championship side Birmingham City, where he scored two goals and provided two assists in 18 appearances across all competitions.
Osman returned to Brighton for pre-season and featured in the Seagulls’ 3-0 win over AS Roma. Hurzeler said the club will carefully consider the next step in Osman’s career, telling the Argus;

“I’m also impressed by him (Osman) so far, so let’s wait how this continues and then we make the best decision for him and for the club.”
