Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) head coach Luis Enrique is adamant this year’s Ballon D’Or should be won by a PSG player.
The 2026 Ballon D’Or takes place on October 26 in London with England striker Harry Kane, PSG forward Ousmane Dembele and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe widely recognized as the top nominees for the prestigious award.
Dembele is gunning to win the award for the second year in a row after winning the 2025 edition; he excelled in the immediate past campaign by playing a key role in helping PSG win another UEFA Champions League title.
Speaking at a presser ahead of PSG’s French Ligue 1 clash against AS Monaco, Enrique shared his thoughts on who should win the upcoming award.

“I’m not interested in who wins the Ballon D’Or. What I can say is that in my opinion, who deserves to win the Ballon D’Or; it should go to a PSG player.”

“We have players who won the UEFA Champions League, then there’s Fabian (Ruiz) who won the World Cup (with Spain) too. There’s Ousmane Dembele…but that’s my opinion, I can be wrong” Luis Enrique said.
