Ampem Darkoa Ladies to face Edo Queens with WAFU B’s CAF Women’s Champions League spot at stake

Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies have reached the final of the 2026 WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers after a convincing 4-1 victory over Benin’s FC Dynamique in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

The Ghanaian champions will face Nigeria’s Edo Queens in the final after the Nigerian side recorded an even more emphatic 5-0 win over hosts USFA of Burkina Faso.

The results have set up a Ghana-Nigeria showdown, with both the WAFU B title and the region’s sole qualification spot for this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League at stake.

The final will also be a repeat of the two sides’ group-stage meeting, where Ampem Darkoa emerged 2-0 winners, with Rebecca Assemani and Milot Pokuaa getting on the scoresheet.

Ampem Darkoa have been impressive throughout the competition, winning all four of their matches, scoring 11 goals and conceding just two.

Edo Queens, meanwhile, have also demonstrated their attacking strength on their way to the final.

With continental qualification on the line, the final promises to be a fiercely contested West African derby between two sides that already know each other well.

The winner will represent WAFU Zone B at this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League.
