Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has provided an encouraging update on his fitness after featuring prominently in Bayern’s big win in the UEFA Champions League.
The German international scored his first goal of the 2026/27 season as Bayern beat FK Bodø/Glimt 5-0, playing 65-minutes in the match.
Musiala’s performance will come as a positive sign after health concerns emerged when he collapsed twice during friendly matches ahead of the season.
The 23-year-old later announced that he had been diagnosed with a neurological disorder that caused the seizures and said he was taking the necessary measures to manage the condition.
“The feeling I had today is one I haven’t had in a while. I’m happy, and I know I still have steps forward to take and added that he enjoyed “having fun with the team on the field” again.”

“Physically I feel good. This topic isn’t anything new for me by now” Musiala said to Amazon Prime after the game.
