Liverpool forward Alexander Isak says he has no regrets about joining the club from Newcastle United despite the chaotic nature of his transfer.
Isak joined Liverpool from Newcastle in the 2025/26 season for a club-record £125 million after a turbulent spell that saw him sit out matches before securing his move.
His debut season, however, was disrupted by injuries and a drop in production. He scored four goals and provided one assist in 22 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking to the BBC, Isak said he remains happy with his decision to join Liverpool despite his difficult start at Anfield.
“[Liverpool] is a massive club, and everything about the club made it pretty clear and the club’s ambition and the club’s will to get me in as well. It was a big part of it.”
“No [if he had any regrets about joining Liverpool], never. I would never think like that. So I’m just looking forward and feel really optimistic and excited about the season, and what it can bring to us” Isak said.
He has made an impressive start to the season scoring three goals and adding an assist in six games in the 2026-2027 campaign.
