The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is expected to rule on Senegal’s appeal against the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) at the end of November 2026.

In a procedural update, CAS confirmed that deliberations have begun following a closed-door hearing at its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Thursday, October 8.

The panel has opted to issue a full ruling, known as a CAS Award, setting out the legal grounds for its decision. CAS said deliberations would take several weeks, meaning no immediate resolution is expected.

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) appealed against CAF and the Moroccan federation, with the ruling expected to determine the outcome of the case.
