The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Kim Lars Björkegren as interim head coach of the Black Stars for their November fixture against Somalia.
The appointment, made in consultation with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, follows a recommendation by the Black Stars Coach Search Committee as Ghana continues its search for a substantive head coach.
Björkegren will work with Ibrahim Tanko and Godwin Attram as assistant coaches, while former Ghana goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda has been named goalkeepers coach.
The GFA and the Ministry say the interim technical team combines international experience, local knowledge and an understanding of Ghanaian football to guide the national team through a period of transition.
Additional technical and support staff will be appointed to assist the team during the November international window.
The interim arrangement is limited to the November fixtures, with the Coach Search Committee continuing its work to identify a substantive head coach.
The GFA, the Ministry and the committee have urged Ghanaians to support the team and its technical staff as the Black Stars prepare for their upcoming assignment.
