Philadelphia Sixers head coach Nick Nurse has described superstar forward LeBron James as a great offense creator ahead of the start of the 2026-2027 season.
James joined the Sixers on a two year deal worth $8million this offseason as a free agent after leaving Los Angeles Lakers. James spent eight seasons with the Lakers where he won the 2020 NBA title.
By joining the Sixers, LeBron teams up with fellow All-Star players in Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown and Tyrese Maxey raising expectations for the Sixers to win their first NBA title since 1983.
Having multiple stars on the team has raised questions about who leads the team offensively especially LeBron James’ role but Nurse believed that the veteran player will be fine.
“I just think LeBron, I consider him a great offense creator. I don’t necessarily mean scorer, I just think creator and a table setter and all that kind of stuff.”

“If it isn’t bringing it up and starting [the possession], it’s probably going to be first pass anyway to [him on] the wing and then we get into our actions, and he’s kind of seeing what’s there, and he’s creating offense for others” Nurse said.
