Cristiano Ronaldo has moved closer to the 1,000-goal milestone after scoring a hat-trick in Al-Nassr’s 5-3 victory over Al-Kholood in the Saudi Pro League.

The Portuguese forward scored in the 66th, 72nd and 81st minutes to take his career tally to 985 goals. The victory was Al-Nassr’s ninth in 11 league games this season, leaving them second in the standings on 28 points, level with leaders Al-Qadsiah.

Reacting to the win, Ronaldo wrote on social media, “Great win, great team performance. Happy to help with a hat-trick!”

The 41-year-old will have another opportunity to increase his tally when Al-Nassr face Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor in the Asian Champions League on Monday, November 2.
