Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has broken Lionel Messi’s record for the most UEFA Champions League goals scored after turning 30, reaching the milestone in fewer games.
The 33-year-old scored twice in Bayern Munich’s 3-3 draw away to Norwegian side Viking on October 13, taking his tally to 36 goals in 40 games since turning 30.

After Bayern trailed 2-0 at half-time, Kane sparked the comeback with a 54th minute penalty before scoring again six minutes later.
Messi scored 35 goals in 48 Champions League appearances after turning 30.
Kane’s brace also extended his scoring run to nine consecutive games, matching the record held by Robert Lewandowski and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
He is now chasing Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of scoring in 11 consecutive Champions League games, with Bayern set to face Arsenal at the Allianz Arena on October 21.
