Liberty Professionals pulled off the biggest win of the match week by defeating league leaders, AshGold, 1-0 at the Carl Reindorf Park.

The Miners walked into the game with an unblemished record in the league but in the 90th minute, they conceded a goal from Elvis Kyei Baffour, who completed a very extensive counter attack to slot the ball home.

AshGold was not the only team losing its unbeaten run in the league. WAFA‘s 46-game run at home without a loss was ended by Medeama who won 2-1 at the Red Bull Arena.

Charles Boateng opened the scoring for WAFA in the 24th minute but Medeama levelled in the 48th minute through Justice Blay. Kwesi Donsu found the winner in the 57th minute to leave WAFA’s proud record in ruins.

Asante Kotoko were 2-1 winners over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Stadium. Obed Owusu and Frederick Boateng got the goals for the Reds while Solomon Okudzeto scored for Dwarfs.

Hearts of Oak responded to their loss to Berekum Chelsea with a 3-1 home win over Wa All Stars.

The Phobians took the lead in the 20th minute when Selasie Bakai finished off a pass from Joseph Esso. Esso then put his name on the score sheet in the 35th minute when he scored a penalty.

Wa All Stars pulled a goal back in the 58th minute through Kingsley Osei but Hearts put paid to any chances of a comeback when Cosmos Dauda scored his first goal since May 2017 to make it 3-1.

Defending league champions, Aduana Stars blew past Eleven Wonders 4-1 at the Dormaa Park. Nathaniel Asamoah, Hafiz Adams, Sam Adams, and Obeng Kyeremeh Gideon scored for Aduana while Cisse Salifu.

Hafiz Konkoni scored twice for Bechem United in their 2-1 home win over Dreams FC. Sharani Zuberu got the consolation for Dreams.

In other results, Elmina Sharks were 1-0 winners over Inter Allies with the winning goal coming from Tanko Mohammed.
