Laryea Kingston: I’m ready to coach Hearts of Oak

Former Black Stars and Hearts of Oak winger, Laryea Kingston, has stated that he is ready to step in as Hearts of Oak coach whenever the chance presents itself.

The Phobians are currently enduring a topsy-turvy season with Henry Wellington at the helm, having lost three out of their opening seven games this term.

Kingston, 37, played for the Phobians across two spells and completed his coaching badges last year.

“Talking about Accra Hearts of Oak, they are now in the process of building a new team. Last season they had problems with their players not signing new contracts so when you look at the team they are totally new so definitely it will take time for them to gel and then have their rhythm,” he said as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.

“They have had a slow start, let’s wait till the end of the first round then we will see what we can say about the team but trust me it has not been that bad, they have been winning, they have been losing and drawing so there is more room to improve.”

Asked if he would be interested in coaching the club, the former Lokomotive Moscow and Hearts of Mithlothian midfielder said; “Sure, Sure, sure, sure. Trust me, I’m ever ready to honor an invitation and I’m looking forward to Coaching Hearts of Oak. Hearts of Oak is in my blood.”

Hearts of Oak play newly-promoted Karela United in Aiyinase on Wednesday in a match week 8 encounter.
