CAFCC: Aduana Stars handed tough draw

Ghanaian champions Aduana Stars have been handed a tough draw in the Group Stages of the CAF Confederation Draw which was held in Cairo on Friday.

The Dormaa-based have been housed in Group A alongside Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca,  Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas, and 2014 CAF Champions League finalist AS Vita Club of Congo.

Aduana will go away to Asec Mimosas for their first game on 4th May where they will face a familiar foe in former Asante Kotoko and Bechem United striker, Amed Toure before welcoming Nathaniel Asamoah’s former club Raja Casablanca 11 days later.

The draw was also headlined by East African trio, Rayon Sport (Rwanda), Young Africans (Tanzania) and Gor Mahia (Kenya) drawn in the same group.

The trio, which has Rayon and Gor Mahia as first timers at the group stage, are joined in Group D by Algerian giants, USM Alger.

Group A: Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Asec Mimosa’s (Ivory coast), AS Vital (DR Congo), Aduana Stars (Ghana)
Group B: Al Masry, RSB Berkane Football, US Songo, El Hilal
Group C: AC Djioliba , Williamsville AC , Enyimba FC, Club Athletic Renaissance
Group D: Rayon Sports, Gor Mania, USM Alger, Young Africans
