Yahaya Mohammed’s second half strike proved to be the winner for champions Aduana Stars, as they defeated Liberty Professionals 3-2 in an epic Ghana Premier League encounter in Dormaa.

The game was the first of Aduana’s pile of outstanding games in the Ghana Premier League .

Bright Adjei and Congolese Oba Ikama Ulitch put the Dormaa based side two up early in the first half, before Simon Zibo pulled one back for the Scientific Soccer lads to leave the score at 2-1 going into the half time break.

Aduana dominated the early stages of the second half , and were soon rewarded with a 3rd after a comfortable finish from star man Yahaya Mohammed.

Liberty began mounting pressure on the Aduana defense in search of a way back, and were handed a lifeline when Bright Andoh pounced on Aduana’s loose defending to make it 3-2.

Aduana were however able to see out a nervy ending to the game, to secure the all important win.

The victory moves Aduana’s points tally to 11, although it still sees them lie in the relegation zone with 5 more games in hand.
