Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has indicated that he is hopeful City forward Antoine Semenyo’s injury isn’t a serious one.
He said this after Man City beat Ipswich Town 3-2 in the English Premier League with Black Stars players’ Semenyo and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku coming off the bench for the respective teams.
The win ensured that Maresca made history as the manager with the best start to a Premier League campaign as his new team bagged their seventh win in as many games.
However, Erling Haaland, Semenyo, Nico O’Reilly, Matheus Nunes and Mateo Kovacic picked up injuries in the win and Maresca touched on their injury situations.
“Hopefully they-Semenyo and Haaland- are good but they are big players for us.”

“Same for any team losing their best two players. It’s difficult for everyone but we’ll see what’s happened and hopefully find a solution” Maresca said to Sky Sports after the game.

Maresca gave further details on the players’ condition while speaking with the club’s media and he said,

“I asked all of them. Mateo said he was okay, Matheus said he was okay, Erling said he was also okay. Nico it’s still his back. The only one we need to wait on was Antoine and we will see.”
