The Four clubs sponsored by bookmaking giants, Betway, have been handed tricky draws in the NC Special Tier 2 competition round of 32, set to kick off on Wednesday, May 29th 2019.

Ashantigold, who secured their place in the semi finals of the NC Special Premier Competition, have been handed a home tie against Division One side Young Apostles FC.

The Sunyani-based side who gained promotion to Ghana’s second tier division in 2017 will hope to keep their fairy tale rise going but a match up against the Miners is one they did not expect and could prove too much to ask.

Medeama will hope to make amends for a disappointing Tier 1 outing when they face fellow Westerners Bibiani Gold Stars.

The Mauves and Yellows three away a 4 point lead at the top of Premier A to miss out on a place in the semi finals. Medeama finished level on points with Asante Kotoko but the Porcupine Warriors progressed with a better head to head.

Samuel Boadu’s men will view the Tier 2 competition as an opportunity to make amends with a place in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup at stake.

Liberty Professionals meanwhile, will face Wassa-based Skyy FC. The Scientific Soccerlads missed out on a place in the semi finals of the NC Special Premier competition on the last day despite beating WAFA 2-0.

Aduana Stars have arguably the toughest draw of the Betway 4, with a Brong Ahafo Regional derby meeting with Berekum Arsenal.

2017 Ghana Premier League Champions will hope the Tier 2 competition will be kinder as they seek a return to the CAF Confederation Cup.
