Ghanaian centre-back Abraham Akwasi Frimpong has won the Hungarian league title with Ferencvárosi who lifted the title for a record 31 times.

This is the second league title for the 27-year-old since he joined the Hungarian from Red Star Belgrade in 2018.

Ferencvárosi won the league title after defeating Mezőkövesd-Zsóry 1-0 in the last game of the season at the Groupama Arena on July 5, 2020, to clinch their second title in a row.

Frimpong has been instrumental for the Hungarian side making a total of 32 appearances and scored one goal across all competitions this season.

He previously played for Vojvodina, Napredak Krusevac and Red Star Belgrade all in the Serbian top-flight league and he is yet to make his debut for the Black Stars of Ghana.

The Ghanaian international is yet to get a call-up to the Black Stars of Ghana.
