Ghana’s contingent for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games has arrived in the Japanese town of Inawashiro.

The team departed Ghana on Wednesday evening and arrived on Friday afternoon to begin their three-week preparation as part of plans to adequately equip the athletes ahead of the Games.

A total of four athletes, including three boxers in Suleman Tetteh, Shakur Samir and Samuel Takyi and a weightlifter, Christian Amoah, were part of the team that left for Japan.

The rest of the athletes; the men’s 4x100m relay team, two swimmers and triple jump athlete, Nadia Eke, who are all based abroad, will join the rest of their teammates next week.

The Olympic Games will be held from Jul 23, 2021 – Sun, Aug 8, 2021.
