League leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko extended their lead at the top after securing a 3-1 win over Accra Lions while their archrivals, Hearts of Oak drew for the sixth time this season.

Last season GPL runners-up, Kumasi Asante Kotoko continued their title chase with another win, defeating Accra Lions 3-1 in Kumasi.

Cameroonian striker, Frank Mbella scored his second hattrick of the season as Asante Kotoko eased past Accra Lions.

10-man Accra Hearts of Oak continued to struggle in Tamale, drawing 0-0 against Real Tamale United.

Prince Opoku Agyeman started his life with Bibiani Gold Stars in style, securing a vital point against Ashantigold SC in a 2-2 draw at Obuasi

Aduana Stars hammered Eleven Wonders 3-0 courtesy a first-half hattrick by Bright Adjei to ensure they kept their top-four hopes alive.

Great Olympics stayed at the Accra Sports Stadium and narrowly edged Elmina Sharks thanks to a 90th-minute goal by Daniel Adjetey.

Kelvin Andoh’s 82nd-minute goal was enough to secure all three points for Karela as they defeated WAFA 1-0 in Sogakope on Sunday afternoon.

Berekum Chelsea and Bechem United cancelled out each other in an entertaining 1-1 draw, with Kofi Owusu and Emmanuel Annor the goalscorers.

Kotoko stays top of the GPL table with 36 points with a game advantage, followed by Bechem United, Great Olympics and Aduana Stars which complete the top four.

WAFA, Eleven Wonders and Elmina Sharks occupy the bottom three places on the GPL table.
