“Just unlucky”: Mohammed Kudus opens up on injuries

Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, says he has been unlucky with injuries following his recovery from a rib injury which kept him out of action for nearly three months.

The 21-year-old suffered the injury while on international duty with the Black Stars in November and made his return in Ajax’s 5-0 win over FC Twente.

Speaking to Ajax’s media team, the Ghanaian attributed his injury crises to being “unlucky”.

“With the injuries, they are not injuries which happened because I was not training well or taking care of myself. I was just unlucky and things like that,” he said.

“I trust in God and I also try to control things I can, leave what I cannot to God. I try my best to stay fit,” he added.

Mohammed Kudus will be hoping to make a start when Erik ten Hag’s men face Willem II in the Eredivisie on Saturday night.
