Maurice Revello Tournament: Black Satellites lose 1-0 to Mexico in first game

The Black Satellites of Ghana were defeated 1-0 by Mexico in the opening game of the Maurice Revello tournament at the Stade de Municipal de Lattre de Tassigny.

Victor Guzman scored an 83rd-minute goal to condemn Karim Zito’s men to an opening game defeat.

The Black Satellites despite the defeat impressed but were denied on multiple occasions by the safe pair of hands of the Mexican goalkeeper.

In a fairly balanced game, Mexico snatched the late winner to ensure they kept in touch with Venezuela at the top of Group B.

The Black Satellites will take on Indonesia in the second group game on Thursday, June 2, 2022 before playing Venezuela in the final game.
