Ghana Women’s Premier League Champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies played out a goalless stalemate with Bayelsa Queens in their second group B game in the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday night.

The two teams top Group B in first and second place respectively after winning their first games in the tournament.

Bayelsa Queens beat Athleta FC 5-0, while Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Burkina Faso’s USFA 3-0.

After 90 minutes of football, both teams were unable to find the back of the net as the game ended 0-0, leaving both clubs with four points each heading into the final group games.

Ampem Darkoa’s Grace Acheampong was voted the Most Valuable Player in the match.

In the other game, Burkina Faso’s USFA defeated Athleta Football Club 5-1, leaving them in third place with three points.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies now need a point against Athleta FC in their last group game on Sunday, August 27, to progress to the semi-final of the WAFU B Champions League qualifiers.
