Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker was left gobsmacked into the spiritual realm after Ghana’s shock 0-2 loss to Niger at the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.

Two time finalist Ghana crashed out of the competition at the quarterfinal stage after the surprise loss to fellow West Africans Niger in Oran.

Ghana played without captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh who was suspended for the tie after picking up a straight red card against Sudan.

Speaking in the post game interview with CAF, the veteran tactician was left in utter shock and struggled to find words to describe his team’s poor showing in the game.

“Seriously I don’t know what to say because I am short of words. It is a very big blow losing this match but everything that God does is good” he said.

The Black Galaxies progressed from Group C in second place after losing 1-2 to Madagascar, beating Sudan 3-1 and gaining three extra points over Morocco after the North African nation withdrew late from the tournament.

Niger plays host nation Algeria in the semifinals on Tuesday, January 31 at 16:00 GMT.
