Head coach of Braves of Customs, Richard Borsah, has talked up the injection of new players to into his team for the 2023 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season.

He said this in an exclusive interview when Citi Sports paid visited the team’s training session at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu ahead of the start of the new campaign.

Braves won the 2022 League title after missing out on the 2021 trophy to Reformers of Prisons. Braves title win last season was the team’s 21st league triumph.

Since regaining the title, Customs has signed a handful of new players including former Reformers Small Forward/Guard Gabriel Ashaley to complement the team.

“With every team, age catches up with you so obviously, when the team is aging you have to bring in fresh blood to strengthen it. So what we’ve done is to bring in some new hands and gradually fuse them into our tradition so they get to know what we are about and what has kept us on top all these years.”
