20 year old Ghanaian defensive midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana is eager to begin the next chapter of his career after joining Italian Serie A side Cagliari.

Sulemana joined Cagliari from fellow Serie A side Hellas Verona after playing a role in Verona’s survival in the 2022-2023 season.

The deal runs from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2027 with Cagliari having the option to extend the deal by a year.

Cagliari recently gained promotion from Serie B after beating Spezia in a playoff game to return to Italy’s top flight division.

Sulemana played for Hellas Verona’s youth side before stepping up to the main team en route to making 18 appearances in all competitions.

Taking to Instagram, Sulemana who can operate as a central midfielder, sounded excited about the move and was keen to experience the next phase of his career.
