Ajax Amsterdam has issued a two day ultimatum to Brighton and Hove Albion to wrap up a deal that sends Mohammed Kudus to the English Premier League side.

According to Journalist Tim van Duijn who writes for Dutch football magazine Voetbal International, the Dutch club wants the deal completed within 48 hours or the deal will be called off.

Per Voetbal International, the Ghanaian star player would then be only available when a super offer comes in from an interested club.

Brighton and Ajax had agreed a deal in principle of 40 million euros to move the former FC Nordsjaelland player to the Seagulls this past weekend but the latest development could see the deal fall through.

Kudus has caught the eye of several top teams in Europe after a breakout season in the 2022-2023 campaign where he scored 18 goals and added seven assists in 42 games in all competitions.

The recently turned 23 year old also has won two Eredivisie titles and a Dutch Cup in his time in Amsterdam and scored two goals in three games at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar for the Black Stars.

De transfer van Mohammed Kudus naar Brighton & Hove Albion staat op losse schroeven. Ajax wil snel duidelijkheid.https://t.co/qGD2SD3dEA
