Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew says his team’s Carabao Cup loss to Manchester United will motivate Palace to beat Man United when the two sides meet on Saturday, September 30.

Palace lost 0-3 to Man United in the third round of the 2023-2024 Carabao Cup at Old Trafford with goals from Casemiro, Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho.

However, the teams face off this Saturday at 14:00 GMT at Old Trafford in the English Premier League for a repeat matchup.

Speaking in the post game presser, Ghana forward, Ayew was sure his side will be motivated to get back at Man United this weekend.

“We know they were just better than us tonight and we just need to go back home, recover and get ready for Saturday, because Saturday’s going to be a different game. I think this game has given us more desire and more will to win on Saturday” he said to Palace TV.

“The most important thing is that Saturday is ahead of us. We want to come here and show a better face of our team and a better Crystal Palace” he added.
