Newly elected Vice President of SWAG (Sports Writers Association of Ghana) Evelyn Nsiah Asare believes gender diversity works in the organization.

She said this after three women including Nsiah Asare got elected to the body’s executive council at the recently held elections.

Nsiah Asare beat incumbent Vice President Maurice Quansah to win the seat while Mavis Amanor won the Women’s Commission seat and Tilda Acolor got voted in as an Executive Committee member.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after her win, the CEO of Hasaacas Ladies stated that the elections were a test to SWAG’s gender diversity credentials.

“I wanted to use SWAG for a test case to see if me being part of the top management would add value to whatever they have been doing.”
