Kumasi Asante Kotoko assistant coach, David Ocloo, has stated that his team is ready to put Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club down again.

He said this in an interview ahead of Kotoko’s game against bitter rival Accra Hearts of Oak in the maiden edition of the Democracy Cup.

The game takes place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, July 17 with the game kicking off at 18:00 GMT; the winning team will earn a preseason tour in the US.

Despite letting go off 21 players from last season’s roster, Ocloo believes the Porcupine Warriors have enough to beat Hearts again after recording two wins in last season’s Ghana Premier League.

“It is a laudable initiative so we started preparing. I know we got rid of a lot of players but we have able guys and we started training and so far training was good and I think we are ready to put Hearts of Oak down again. We beat twice and we are ready to beat them for third time…I think we are good to go.”

Since the mass exit, Kotoko have signed four players in the offseason including former Accra Great Olympics midfielder Emmanuel Antwi. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
