Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club ended its terrible losing run by bagging a 2-0 win over Aduana Stars at the Dormaa Park.

Having lost to Nations, Legon Cities, Bechem United and Kpando Heart of Lions, Kotoko went into the game under tremendous pressure but an early goal from Patrick Asiedu in the ninth minute gave the Porcupine Warriors the start they needed to settle into the tie.

Albert Amoah continued his fine form in the 2024-2025 season by scoring Kotoko’s second in the 61st minute. It marked the first time 12 games into the season that Kotoko scored more than a goal in a game.

Kotoko midfielder and captain Justice Blay was named as the Man of the Match Award winner after putting up ana eye catching performance in the win.

On the other hand, Aduana Stars slumped to its second loss in six games; the former league champions have just a win in six games.
