Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil’s fine debut season in the Major League Soccer (MLS) continues after his side, the Los Angeles Galaxy were crowned Western Conference Champions.
The Galaxy beat Seattle Sounders 1-0 to clinch the title with Dejan Joveljic scoring the game’s only goal in the 85th minute off a Riqui Puig assist.
Paintsil starred in the previous round win over Minnesota United by bagging a brace and against Seattle, the former KRC Genk player played 89 minutes in the win.
He completed 21 of 24 passes successfully while winning five of 11 ground duel attempts and winning three fouls playing on the right side of the Galaxy’s three man frontline.
The win over Seattle qualifies LA Galaxy to the MLS Cup finals where they are scheduled to take on New York Red Bulls for the title on Saturday, December 7.
After winning the Western Conference title, Paintsil expressed how excited he was with the title win while looking forward to the big weekend clash.

“We did it. Western Conference Champions. Eyes on the next one” he wrote on his X former Twitter page.
