Former Black Satellites goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has expressed disappointment over the amount of money members of the 2009 FIFA Under 20 World Cup winning team are set to receive as dividends on a 10,000 Ghana Cedis investment made in 2009.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports after confirming that each member of the team has been credited with a little over 70,000 Ghana Cedis rather than the expected amount of 150,000 following the conclusion of the 15 year investment agreement.

After stating that just 11 members of the team had gone for their money, he added that some members of the team are disappointed over how things have turned out. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“We are in a way disappointed about the money we are receiving…with this money you can’t even do business. We are all pleading with the current President (John Mahama) to help us do something…because at the time (2009), he was the Vice (President). We are using this opportunity to reach to his people to help us.”

After winning the Under 20 World Cup, Agyei played for Medeama SC, Liberty Professionals, Free State Stars in South Africa and Simba SC in Tanzania.
