Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, has stated that his ministry has clear intentions of completing National Youth Resource Centres all over the country.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Channel One News as talks continue to be rife over the poor state of the centres that are still yet to be completed.
At the time of writing, only two centres (in the Upper West Region and Eastern Region) have been completed and the Youth Development Minister says the President John Mahama led government has plans of completing the centres.
“We intend to complete them because it is going to serve young people. We’ve done an assessment, I’ve met the National Youth Authority CEO and his deputies and I’ve asked them to do an assessment of what needs to be done.”

“Based on that (report) we will sit down with the Finance Ministry, sit down with the government and relevant agencies and also our donor partners to see how best they can best complete it. The centres are such that once they are all completed and put to use, it will go a long way to benefit young people.”
