Bechem United FC has taken a bold stance against hooliganism in Ghanaian football, offering a GHC 100,000 reward for credible information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved in the tragic murder of Kotoko fan Francis ‘Nana Pooley’ Frimpong.

The club, led by Dr. Kingsley Owusu Achau, expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the incident, emphasizing that violence has no place in football.

Bechem United has called on all stakeholders to unite to ensure justice is served and the perpetrator is swiftly apprehended.

Dr. Achau, a dedicated football administrator who has consistently travelled with the team to various league venues, has reportedly faced pressure from his family to halt these trips due to recent violent incidents.

However, the club remains committed to promoting discipline and security in Ghanaian football.

Bechem United’s Measures Against Hooliganism

In a proactive move to enhance safety, Bechem United has engaged an expert to install CCTV cameras at their home stadium to monitor and prevent violent incidents.

Additionally, the club has issued a strong warning to its supporters, stating that any act of hooliganism will result in a lifetime ban from attending matches.

The club also called on law enforcement agencies, football administrators, and the general public to collaborate in the fight against football-related violence.

Bechem United stressed that the integrity of the sport must be protected and that acts of violence should never go unpunished.

Encouraging anyone with valuable information to come forward, the club emphasized that restoring sanity to Ghana’s football stadia is a shared responsibility.

They reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that football remains a sport of unity, passion, and fair play.
