New Black Stars midfielder, Lawrence Agyekum, has scored his debut goal for Belgium Jupiler Pro League side Cercle Brugge.

Agyekum scored in Brugge’s 2-2 draw with KV Kortrijk in the 87th minute to get his team level in the relegation playoffs.

The 21 year old midfielder, who is on loan from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, marked his 39th appearance for Brugge with his debut goal in what has been a successful season for the former WAFA player.

Reacting to his first ever goal for Cercle Brugge, Lawrence Agyekum wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) page, “First in green and black over the weekend! We go again another time!”

The goal, scored on the return of club football after the latest FIFA window, marked an excellent few days for Agyekum who made his debut with the Black Stars as Ghana beat Chad 5-0 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
