Manchester United will head to Asia for a lucrative post-season tour, with friendlies scheduled in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong just days after the Premier League curtain falls.

Rúben Amorim’s side will close out their domestic campaign at Old Trafford against Aston Villa on May 25 before flying east for two high-profile matches in three days.

The Red Devils are set to face an ASEAN All Stars XI on May 28 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, followed by a clash against Hong Kong, China on May 30 at the Hong Kong Stadium.

Omar Berrada, the club’s CEO, underlined the financial and global value of the tour:

We appreciate the amazing level of support that Manchester United enjoys around the world, and this summer we’re delighted to deliver a schedule that gives our fans in Asia, Scandinavia, and the United States the opportunity to connect with the club and watch the men’s first team play live.

Importantly, tour fixtures drive significant additional revenue which help make the club stronger, allowing us to keep investing in success on the pitch. They also create unique opportunities for us to collaborate with our valued commercial partners and deepen relationships with our fans in regions such as Asia and the US.

The club’s off-season schedule is expected to generate substantial financial returns while also reinforcing its global fanbase and commercial presence.
