Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have unveiled their latest recruit after several weeks of tough negotiations to beat out the competition for full back Joseph Amoah.
The 21 year old former Legon Cities player recently penned a four year deal with the Porcupine Warriors and is set to feature in Kotoko’s 2025-2026 CAF Confederation Cup campaign later this year.
Kotoko beat archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak to sign the highly rated full back from Legon Cities who got relegated from the Ghana Premier League after the 2024-2025 season.
The Porcupine Warriors have signed the likes of goalkeeper Haruna Dari from Bechem United and Zackaria Fuseini from Berekum Chelsea in recent weeks.
Speaking in his first official interview since joining the club, Amoah said that there were offers from other clubs for his services but Kotoko was always his choice.

“Coming from a Legon Cities side that had a tough season, to now joining the biggest club in Ghana, is a huge step in my career. There were a few offers on the table, but for me it was always Asante Kotoko” Amoah said.
Kotoko take on Hearts of Oak in the President’s Cup on Sunday, July 6 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
