Minister of Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams has highlighted structural problems at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and has indicated that changes will be made at the edifice.
He made this observation while touring the facility on the Ashanti Regional leg of his tour of sports facilities in the country.
While on the Ashanti Regional leg of the tour, Kofi Adams made a stop at the Nyinahin Youth Centre which is in a terrible state after years of abandonment.
Inspecting the Baba Yara Stadium that got banned by Africa football governing body CAF last year, the Sports Minister pointed to a section of the stadium overlooking the area designated to player arrival and called for it to be changed.
“The fans should not see the players when they are entering the dressing rooms, we need to work on that side” Kofi Adams stated.

The Sports Minister earlier this week toured the Borteyman Sports Complex where he warned encroachers on lands earmarked to develop further facilities for the complex to back off.
