The curtain came down on the maiden edition of the University of Ghana Corporate Football League in spectacular fashion, as Ghana Civil Aviation Authority emerged champions after a nerve-wracking 4–2 penalty shootout triumph over Union Ghana.

The grand finale, held under the floodlights at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, lived up to its billing with end-to-end action. Civil Aviation broke the deadlock late in the second half, igniting jubilation among their supporters.

But Union Ghana refused to bow out quietly. Deep into stoppage time, Emmanuel Arthur displayed brilliance with a perfectly placed assist that led to the equaliser, sending the game into a dramatic penalty shootout.

In the ensuing shootout, goalkeeper Tsawodzi Ruben became the hero of the night, making two decisive saves to seal victory and secure the championship for Civil Aviation.

Prince Aboagye was named Most Valuable Player of the final for his commanding display, while Emmanuel Arthur’s contributions throughout the tournament earned him the Golden Boot, finishing as top scorer with nine goals.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club clinched third place after defeating the National Petroleum Authority 5–4 in a penalty shootout, following a 2–2 draw at full time.

Amankwah stepped up once more with a decisive save in the shootouts, helping the Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club secure a 5–4 victory and the bronze medal.
