Ghana and Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after making an appearance at a Westminster Magistrate court in London.

He has been charged with 5 counts of rape and 1 count of sexual assault by three different women in incidents which happened between 2021 and 2022.

In court Partey is reported to have confirmed his name and understanding of the bail conditions.

His legal team had previously however maintained his innocence and denied all charges against him.

His bail conditions state that he is not allowed to contact any of the three women in the case and must notify police of any permanent change of address or international travel.

His bail conditions however, do not prevent him from continuing his football career either in England or overseas during the pendency of the case.

He is set to return to court on September 2 at the Old Bailey.

Partey recently signed with Spanish top flight side Villarreal and is expected to be unveiled in the coming days.
