Ghana midfielder Abdul Salis Samed says he is delighted to work with Franck Haise again after joining French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice.
The 25 year old Ghanaian international joined Nice on a three year deal from fellow Ligue 1 side RC Lens after falling out of favour at the club.
Samed played out the 2024-2025 campaign on loan at AFC Sunderland in the English second tier and helped the club, albeit in a limited capacity, qualify to the English Premier League.
On his return, he got shipped out to Nice in a move that sees him reunited with Haise who oversaw Samed’s starring run with Lens three seasons back as Lens competed in the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking in an interview with OGC Nice media after signing the deal, Samed highlighted the bond with Haise and eagerness to excel with his new club.

“I’m delighted to be joining Le Gym, an ambitious, an European club. I’m also delighted to be back with the coach. I’m going to give my all to help the team and make the fans proud” Samed said.

Nice finished fourth in the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 season and will compete in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers. Scroll down to watch Salis Samed signing
