New Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club signing Walid Fuseini has described the club as the best place to show that he belongs to the elite level in football.
He said this in an interview with Kotoko media in his first address since joining the Porcupine Warriors earlier this week with the club officially making the announcement on Tuesday, August 26.
The 25 year old midfielder who usually lines up on the left side, joined Kotoko on a three year deal as a free agent after the dissolution of his former club Nsoatreman FC.
Nsoatreman ironically dissolved in the wake of the passing of Kotoko supporter Francis “Pooley” Frimpong after getting stabbed at a league game between Nsoatreman and Kotoko.
Speaking on his move to the record winners of the Ghana Premier League ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign which commences next month, Fuseini was adamant he made the right move.

“I want to prove that I belong at the very top, and there’s no better place to do that than at Asante Kotoko if you want to play in Ghana. I’m eager to contribute immediately, especially with the return to Africa. The expectations are high, but I do well under pressure” he said.

Fuseini was part of Nsoatreman’s CAF CONFED Cup campaign and is in line to feature in Kotoko’s continental game against Nigeria’s Kwara United on September 19.
