Bibiani Gold Stars will have a new face in its dug out in the coming days as the club is set to appoint Maxwell Konadu as its new head coach.
This comes in the wake of the reported dismissal of Stephen Frimpong Manso as the club’s head trainer after Gold Stars loss in its debut CAF Champions League campaign.
The reigning Ghana Premier League champions lost 2-0 in the first of two legs at the Accra Sports Stadium to Algeria’s JS Kabylie ahead of the return leg on Sunday, September 28.
Deep throated sources confirmed to Citi Sports that Frimpong Manso has been dismissed from his role and won’t be part of the club’s trip to Algiers for the return leg.
Konadu’s reported impending appointment is set to be made official after Gold Stars return from their trip to Algeria.

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu recently led Nsoatreman FC to win the MTN FA Cup and compete in the CAF Confederation Cup. He has head coaching stints at Legon Cities and Accra Great Olympics in his career.

He recently was named as the head coach of Ghana’s National Under-20 Men’s Football Team.
