The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Ghana Premier League clubs Hohoe United and Young Apostles Football Club for breaching regulations in the Ghana Premier League.

The clubs were charged by the body for subjecting the game to public ridicule after both teams allegedly fielded 10 players to start their Week 2 fixture in the 2025-2026 Ghana Premier League season despite having 11 players available to start the game.

Hohoe United and Young Apostles were charged for breaching Article 34(6) (d) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations which brought the competition into disrepute.

The game, which marked Hohoe United’s debut home fixture in the Ghanaian top flight, ended 1-1 marking Hohoe’s second draw in as many games. Hohoe United drew goalless with Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.
